Nice! (in Borat voice)
So last night my friend Lisa came over and watched my kids because I could not find a sitter at the last minute. Shocker! Have I ever mentioned that Lisa is the most beautiful, wonderful, talented, amazing person I know!!!! Seriously, thank you Lisa!!! Because of Lisa I was able to consume many points worth of sushi. Also, it is possible there were a couple glasses of this:
This is a picture from my brother's wedding weekend but coincidentally, I was wearing the same top last night. But I digress....
We went to Zenbu Sushi in La Jolla. It is the third time I've been and it's sooooo good!!! I love going to sushi with a big group of people because you can share and try everything. I had a little bit of several different rolls and I split a chocolate lava cake with the hubby. It was soooo good. I was a happy camper.
So today started out with coffee (with the same unsweetened vanilla almond milk and sugar free vanilla syrup) and a slice of Ezekiel toast with Barney Butter and a half cup of cantaloupe. Now, if you are asking....."What is Barney Butter?" I shall tell you. It is a brand of almond butter that is pure food-gasmic. Amazon is running on sale on it right now......it isn't cheap. It's $9 at Henry's. Click here and you can get 20% all Barney Butter with the code: Barney22. It comes in smooth and crunchy. Both are equally good.
I worked on putting the kids' artwork from the past school year in scrapbooks all day. If I keep this up I'll have to buy one of those Pods things to hold all of these scrapbooks by the time they graduate elementary school. But I will keep it up because I'm just good like that. :)
Lunch was a sodium fest: zero point Progresso light soup and a Lean Cuisine flat bread thingy. It was pretty decent. I really need to go to the grocery store so there were not a lot of options.
Sunday is usually my day off from the gym so I didn't exercise. I took a nap instead. The hubby took our son to Disneyland to meet up with my mother in law and a bunch of his cousins. My daughter took a nap so I did too! Wow......naps are good things!
I have tons of leftovers all the time in the freezer so I pulled out some chicken meatballs and marinara (Ellie Krieger's recipe from her "The Food You Crave" cookbook) and put it over some whole wheat spaghetti and zucchini, onions, bell peppers and garlic. Excellent. Healthy and delicious!!! Paired with a glass of red wine, it was a great meal!
I've got four points left for dessert. I think I'll get the little lady off to bed and enjoy something sweet.
