139.0....yesterday
Sorry no post like night....late night...more on that in a minute....
I spent the rest of the morning doing laundry, baking a cake (Black Magic Cake from allrecipes.com - it is the best chocolate cake ever FYI) that I ended up freezing for a future trip to Big Bear. I had buttermilk leftover and didn't want to waste so what better way to use it than for a chocolate cake. I actually have more left....maybe there will be more chocolate cakes in my future? I also prepped all the ingredients for Indian Butter Chicken that I'm making tonight at my parents house. It's their first time having this amazing meal. Ahhhhhh....can't wait!
Yeah....not so crazy but we had a good time! We sat in traffic FOREVER to get to the concert but it was worth it. The concert was really fun and we had a great time!! We went to this lounge afterwards and danced for awhile and then headed home. I had a blast!!!
Breakfast was something that I've had in my freezer for awhile. It being a lazy Saturday morning, I decided to give it a try.
Trader Joe's Chorizo, Egg and Cheese Crustless Quiche. It wasn't that great. :( I put Cholula all over it but it still wasn't a winner. There's another one in the box. I hate throwing food away so we'll see what happens to it.

Lunch was the rest of the pizza from the night before and a mixed greens salad with Girards Champagne salad dressing. I don't like very many bottled salad dressings but this one is awesome. I buy the light version and it tastes great!
Then my hubby took the kids to Orange County to visit with his mom so I had the house to myself. I hopped in the shower and started to get ready for.....The Lady Gaga Concert!!!! A few friends took me for my birthday!!!
First we had dinner at Piatti's in La Jolla. Crazy good food to be had there my friends. And look.....the menu said Happy Birthday Melissa. Ahhhhhhh......
Notice my fake lashes....my first time applying them by myself! I was pretty proud. One of my friends and I decided to dress up kinda crazy for the concert so in these pictures I'm wearing my "Costume" so I wouldn't look strange in the restaurant. I covered up with a denim long jacket and a scarf. Turns out our outfits weren't so crazy after all....the people at the concert dressed up SUPER crazy. We looked very tame. :) I digress........
My friends gave me awesome gifts including this FABULOUS wine glass with a few blinged out "M"'s on it! I drank my chardonnay in it at the restaurant.

And then my camera died. I am so lame for not charging before I left.
I split beef carpaccio with one of my friends to start. It was excellent. My entree was the Shrimp Pappardelle. I wish I had a picture of it.....it was not to be believed...it tasted like buttah!
Then my birthday tiramisu arrived with a candle. Of course we ate that in like ten seconds.
Before I finish with the rest of the night.... I found a picture of my friend Lisa and I in our "crazy" outfits:

I was really hungry when I came home so I made some mac and cheese and a quesadilla. Super drunk style. Glad my camera wasn't working so I couldn't take a picture of that craziness.
Well....this is where I must leave you....got to get dressed and hit the road to my parent's house. We are celebrating my and my dad's birthday (we share the very same birthday) and we are going to celebrate Christmas with my brother and his wife since they are going to her parent's house in New Jersey this year for Christmas. Ciao!
"super drunk style" haha mac & cheese + quesodilla is awesome drunk food!
ReplyDeleteI think your crazy outfits are cute!
