Ahhh....another good night's sleep....thank you children for sleeping past 7AM. Bless you.

Breakfast was two pieces of light wheat toast with peanut butter and some strawberries on the side. I had a cup of coffee too. :)


I had to jump in the shower and get ready for my cookie exchange. My display of peanut butter cup cookies:

I could only stay for a half hour because we had to go to our friend's engagement party. It was held at Clay's in La Jolla. The party was on the penthouse and the view of La Jolla was spectacular. Even though it was an overcast day, it was still beautiful. They had a great spread for brunch. Plate #1:

And I enjoyed several glasses of champagne during the lovely affair. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

After the party I went over to my friend Dina's house to retrieve all the cookies she gathered for me at the cookie exchange. Check out my loot!!!

I was not in the mood to cook anything for dinner so we went to our club. I had a spicy tuna tempura roll:

A little too fried for me but I guess that's what I get for ordering a "tempura" roll. :)

I'm feeling a bit better tonight so I think I'm going to go Nyquil free....I don't like to get dependent on that kind of stuff.
