I had a great time at last night's Bunco! The appetizer I made was Beer Dip. Thanks Tina!! It was as addicting as you said it was!
Beer Dip
2 packages of cream cheese (softened)
1 packet of Ranch salad dressing mix
Shredded cheddar cheese (to taste)
1 bottle of full-bodied beer
Directions: In a large bowl, blend cream cheese, Ranch salad dressing mix, and cheddar cheese. Slowly pour beer into mixture and stir. Continue to add beer until dip achieves desired consistency.
I served it with Ritz crackers, pretzel sticks and an asiago & roasted garlic bread from Trader Joe's.
I didn't go overboard at all at Bunco so I'm proud of myself. Along with some red wine, I had some fabulous lasagna and rice:
I went back for seconds of the lasagna. I picked up a few bites of things here and there and had two of Lisa's brownies for dessert (they are small). Sorry no picture....I just popped them into my mouth. :)
I had a reader request to start showing the actual products I use in my meals so that you guys all know what I'm talking about. :) I'll try to do it as much as possible (or whenever I remember). :)
So, let's start with this morning's breakfast shall we:
Plain, nonfat yogurt with Fiber One cereal and strawberries:
I took the kids to school and went to Zumba. Another packed class! 470 calories burned.....booyah! :)
I came home to change and make lunch.
I decided on a turkey sandwich on a bagel thin. Above are the ones I like....the "Everything" flavor. I tried the wheat and it didn't taste any different than the sandwich thins. The everything variety tastes like an actual bagel. I also put Dijonnaise on my sandwich as well.
I put tomatoes, red onion, spinach and light swiss cheese on the sandwich and made a salad on the side.
I wanted something sweet after so I had one of these:
It was ok. For one point it's pretty good but I like the chocolate variety better. Hubby loves these things.

Then it was off to Costco. Nothing crazy to report there....just had to stock up on some regular stuff. I came home, unloaded and then went to.......
Yep....all black. I didn't see any colors there that I went nuts over so I decided to start basic and then I can build from there. I'm so excited to wear my new stuff!
On the way home I stopped at Starbucks with my travel mug for the free coffee they were offering today. Nice!
My son's 5th birthday is tomorrow. I decided to bake him a cake. I bought this cake pan set awhile ago and decided this was an appropriate time to bust it out:
You see....my son loves Oreo cookies (who doesn't?) so I made the chocolate cake parts and I"m going to put vanilla ice cream in the center. I don't think I buttered the pan enough because a little bit did stick so it doesn't look as nice as the box.....I'll just use the uglier one for the bottom. They are cooling now so you'll have to wait to see the finished product. :)
At this point I was crazy hungry so I made a bowl of Kashi Honey Sunshine cereal with Fiber One cereal and the new blackberries and raspberries that I bought at Costco:
Lululemon!! I decided today was the day to reward myself for completing P90X! I bought several pairs of pants, a sports bra, a top and a jacket:

Where is the Lululemon store in SD? Even though we have 2 of them here, I love to go to other ones when we travel because selection varies so much.
ReplyDeleteGreat eats, and have fun at dinner.
Our weekend plans are going to a movie on Friday night and having friends over for a bar-b-que on Sat night.
