Last night I met my sister in law at the Chart House for dinner. I enjoyed two glasses of Chardonnay over the evening:
I had some warm crusty wheat bread with some buttah to start:
Look at the beautiful sunset that we got to enjoy!!
For my entree I had the ahi tuna with asian style green beans instead of the risotto. Fabulous!!
On the side was a ginger soy sauce and a wasabi cream. I dipped each bite in both sauces. Great combinations!!
There's a possibility that I had one my leftover Blonde Brownies when I got home! :)
I took the kids to school and went to Zumba. It was a great class today!! 560 calories burned...not too shabby!!
I went to the grocery store to get stuff for my "swap party" (more on that in a moment) and I picked up some sushi for lunch:
I haven't had sushi in so long....even the grocery store stuff tasted good!!! The one on the right has brown rice. Mmmmm!!
I've spent the rest of the day getting my house set up and some appetizers/desserts made for my swap party. Last year I decided to have my friends go through their closets and bring over anything that didn't fit or they didn't like anymore and we'd drink and eat and swap stuff. It worked out so well, I'm doing it again this year!! We'll see how it goes!
I'm excited to see how it turns out!! The initial taste test was pretty good!! :) Ok I really need to keep at it if I'm going to have everything done on time!!

I forgot to mention yesterday, with all the giveaway excitement, about a new program that hubby and I just started on Monday: hundredpushups.com. You do it three times a week for six weeks and at the end you should be able to do 100 consecutive push ups! We shall see I guess! :)
This morning I had some plain non fat yogurt with Fiber One cereal and Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal along with some raspberries and blackberries:

One of the appetizers I'm making is the other jar of salsa that I received from whitegirlsalsa.com to test. This one is the Cranberry-Mango variety and I used a recipe from their website.

A tasty meal at the Chart House is so nice. Love the view.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the 100 push up program.
What a beautiful view! Let us know how the push ups go! :)
ReplyDeleteQuick easy app would probably be 7-layer dip! I'm honestly not an app girl more of a meal girl!
Your hair looks great pulled back!
ReplyDeleteQuick easy appetizer would be endive leaves stuffed with laughing cow, or with gorgonzola, walnuts and dried cranberries.
