Last night we took my mom to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse for dinner. I haven’t been in so long!!!!
They had a three course special so I went with that. I choose the wedge salad to start:
The petite filet and shrimp for my entree as well as the creamed spinach for my side:
I forgot to take a picture until I had taken a bite of the steak, shrimp and added the spinach to my plate. Therefore, my plate looks like a mess!! A delicious mess! Their creamed spinach is the BEST.
The dessert was a smaller cheesecake with these chocolate pecan pieces:
What a fabulous meal!!!!
I didn’t have breakfast at home today! After I took the kids to school, I went over to my parent’s hotel to have breakfast with them. They had a nice little buffet set out. I had some scrambled eggs, potatoes and toast with peanut butter:
I ended up putting salsa over my eggs and potatoes. I enjoyed it! Then my mom and I did some more shopping.
For lunch, we stopped at Milton’s Deli. I ordered the half sandwich and salad.
Roast beef sandwich:
Their roast beef is absolutely perfect!!
We came back to my house and my dad came to pick up my mom after his meeting and they headed home.
I picked up the kids from school, ran a few errands and came home to make dinner. I defrosted some “Lazy Day Lasagna”, sautéed some veggies and made a salad.
That’s what I call a quick dinner!
Are you hosting Thanksgiving or are you going somewhere else?
For the first time in 14 years, I am NOT cooking for Thanksgiving. We are going to friends', but I am bringing a couple of sides.
ReplyDeleteWe're going to Mitch's dad's house and I am in charge of dessert. I really want to go to Ruth's Chris, I haven't been in years, but I know they way Mitch and I are at places like that, it'd be a crazy expensive dinner and I just can't swing that right now! It's SO good though.
