143.4…The Perfect Meal
Between my daughter’s playdates yesterday I snacked on some dates. Why the heck are these so good?
When I’m tired and hungry, my go-to meal is pasta. To me, there is nothing more comforting than a big old bowl of the good stuff.
After my daughter’s last playdate, I cooked up some linguine and topped it with marinara sauce, tons of red pepper flakes and Garlic Gold. Underneath the pasta mountain there is sautéed spinach and zucchini. See, I got my veggies in! :)
Pasta=the perfect meal.
After a fabulous night’s sleep, I felt a ton better. Hubby took the kids to school today so I took my time getting up and eating breakfast:
Toasted English muffin with Barney Butter almond butter and a grapefruit.
I went to spin class and got a great workout in. So glad I skipped my run yesterday. I felt recharged and really killed it in spin class today.
I ran a whole bunch of errands including Trader Joes, BevMo (whipped vodka anyone?) and to the toy store for some upcoming birthday gifts. Along the way I stopped for a tuna sandwich at Submarina:
I love tuna sandwiches. Love.
I picked the kids up from school and took them to PetCo pet store. Their “Dog Smart” teacher wanted me to take them there to practice petting and being around other dogs. There were two dogs in the store. My kids wanted no part of them. Oh well. I tried. :)
I mentioned earlier that this week was going to be crazy right? Sunday night was the Laker basketball game. Tonight…..Lady Gaga concert. Oh yeah! Hubby surprised me with tickets and invited friends of ours to join us. He really knows how to score points with me.
Gotta get ready for Gaga!!
What was the last concert you went to?
Who would you like to see in concert?
Love your blog!! Have you ever eaten at Noodles & Company? There is one in Encinitas. I work at the corporate office in CO. Seems like something you would love...email me or fb message me your address and I'll send you a couple of free bowls!
