141.8…Chili and Salad
So…I really need to clean out my freezer. I just realized that Thanksgiving is coming and I need to fit stuff in there…like a huge turkey and all the sides that I do ahead. Yes…I do a lot of my sides ahead, defrost them 36 hours before Thanksgiving and pop them into the oven when the turkey is done and resting…but that is for another post.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, I pulled out some Turkey Chili out of the freezer. The chili was almost a year old and was made with turkey from last year’s Thanksgiving. Oops. It still tasted good though!
I also made a salad to go with it: romaine, cucumbers, red onions, shredded cheddar cheese and the ranch dressing that I made for the hot wings on Monday night.
We watched the USC football game last night. Strange watching it on a Thursday. What was up with that?
Breakfast this morning was Blueberry Fage yogurt with strawberries and raspberries.
I went to Cardio Muscle class and came home for lunch. More chili and salad.
I ate the rest of the Chili from Monday night and another big salad…this one with the El Tortito dressing that I love so much.
I need to pick up my son from a playdate, take him to the doctor for his flu vaccine, drop the kids off at a friend’s house for a sleep over THEN hit the road for Orange County for a surprise birthday party. Whew!
I just wanted to send a quick Thank You to The Fairy Hobmother who sent me an Amazon gift card! What should I buy!?!
Any fun plans this weekend?
Do you prefer your chili vegetarian or with meat?

I am going to Goodwill on Sunday with my Mom and Hannah then doing Sunday dinner - the temps are falling so I feel the need to bake bread!
