140.8…Flatbread Of My Dreams
I went with some friends last night to the opening of another friend’s clothing boutique, Vitamin G. I enjoyed a couple glasses of wine while browsing through all the clothes. They had passed appetizers and I tried a couple of them. I didn’t eat very much…I was too busy shopping! I didn’t snap any photos either….holding wine and clothes limits the amount of arms I have to take said photos.
After shopping a bit, we decided to head a few doors down to a new wine bar: Twisted Vine Bistro and Wine Bar.
Twisted Vine Bistro had just recently opened and I had been looking forward to trying it! I enjoyed a glass of prosecco.
I split the Marinated Mozzarella, Slow Roasted Tomato and Basil Pesto Flatbread with a friend.
I instantly fell in love, as did my friend. The flavors were so amazingly delicious. I can honestly say it was the best flatbread I’ve ever had in my life. I would order it again in a heartbeat. I really enjoyed everything at Twisted Vine Bistro. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. A winner!
I didn’t sleep that well last night (too much wine maybe?). :) It was worth it.
Breakfast was simple: Fage yogurt with strawberries.
I took the kids to school, went to an event in my daughter’s class and then to Starbucks for a pick me up.
I came home to get the laundry started and to have lunch.
I made a chicken salad sandwich using the leftover Roast Chicken from last night. To go with it, I made a salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, feta, oregano, pepper, red wine vinegar and olive oil.
I picked my daughter up from school and came home to get started on the cookies I’m making for a cookie party on Sunday. Hopefully they will turn out good so I can post the recipe. I have high hopes for this one!
My son is at a playdate so we will be picking him up later and going out to dinner. Then, hopefully, it will be bed time!
Check out my guest post on Around The Plate. I wrote about one of my favorite recipes ever: Healthified Stuffed Shells. I rarely repeat recipes but I’ve made this one at least a dozen time.
Are you a flatbread fan? Favorite toppings for it?
Had any good/bad experiences at a new restaurant lately?
