143.4 yesterday, 142.0…Holiday Parties Galore!
Oh my! The holidays are in full swing over at my house! We have been to back-to-back holiday parties. Let me fill you in!
Saturday night we attended a friend’s company’s holiday dinner at Eddie V’s in La Jolla.
I had never been before and was excited to try it! The view over looking the water was amazing. The champagne was amazing as well. :)
The table shared a few different appetizers. They all were excellent!
Beef Tartare:
Tuna Tartare:
I ordered the BLT Wedge Salad (Crisp Bacon, Maytag Blue Cheese and Buttermilk-Chive Dressing):
I don’t know what they did to the bacon but it blew my mind. I would order this salad again just for the bacon.
For dinner I ordered the Filet Mignon. We all shared a couple different sides: Monterrey Style Sweet Corn and Truffled Macaroni and Cheese.
Everything was fabulous. I have to give an extra special shout out to the Truffled Macaroni and Cheese. I would go back just for that.
For dessert….Chocolate Lava Cake!
I guess they found it was my birthday the day before. :) Overall fabulous meal at Eddie V’s. I would definitely go back!
The next morning it was off to “Breakfast with Santa” at our club. More champagne!
It was a buffet so I helped myself to some favorites: scrambled eggs, potatoes, French toast, bacon and sausage:
Plate number two:
The rest of the afternoon was spent wrapping gifts. I’m almost done!
Later yesterday evening, my husband and I went to a holiday party at my friend Dina’s house.
The party was a pot-luck and I brought one of my favorite appetizers ever: Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry. (Recipe coming tomorrow!)
Check out some of the delicious appetizers everyone brought!
I enjoyed some more champagne! I sense a theme here. :)
And tried some German hot mulled wine!

Then it was dessert time! My friend, Sherry, brought these DELICIOUS chocolate bars!!!
Then the tequila came out.
The rest is history. :)
Great time had by all!
This morning’s breakfast was toast with Teddie peanut butter and some strawberries. Kinda boring compared to all the fun food I’ve been eating.
I went to Cardio Muscle class and had a fabulous workout. I really needed that after all this weekend’s eats!
After class I ran a bunch of errands and picked up Panera Bread for lunch.
Half tuna sandwich and tomato soup. Delish!
Tonight is HOT WING night at Alicia’s! You know I’m one excited lady!
Are you done with your holiday shopping?
Have you been to many holiday parties yet?
