143.2 yesterday…Weekend Shenanigans
And just like that, the weekend is over. Time flies when you’re having fun, right!?!
Friday night we took the kids to meet some friends for dinner at Villa Capri 2. I enjoyed some delicious wine.
We all split a Caesar salad:
For our entrees we split Veal Piccata and Rigatoni Bolognese:
I tried not to go overboard with my portion sizes and I think I succeeded. It’s hard when there’s huge plates of food in front of you.
Saturday morning was fabulous. I slept in until 7:30am, relaxed on the coach for a bit with a cup of coffee while watching the rain outside. I made a toasted waffle with peanut butter and a grapefruit for breakfast:
Then I got my workout on at spin class. I came home, showered, packed at went to The Grand Del Mar hotel for my friend Lisa’s birthday festivities.
I dropped my bag in her hotel room and we went downstairs to the Amaya bar for lunch.
Wine!
I enjoyed a cob salad for lunch:
It hit the spot!
We went back to her room to chill for a bit before getting ready for dinner. Dinner was in the Amaya restaurant. My friend Alicia and I split the Mushroom Risotto for our appetizer:
I enjoyed some more wine with my entree: Lobster and Crab Papardelle:
Delish!
After dinner it was off to Club M for some serious dancing action! I think I danced for 4 hours straight!
Me, Annette and Alicia leaving the club at 2am. That is WAY past my bedtime! We went back to Lisa’s room and crashed.
This morning I was more than ready for some breakfast! I ordered the breakfast burrito:
Eh. It wasn’t very good but I ate it anyway. The potatoes were good though! At least they had Cholula to go with it!
Then it was time to get packed and head home! I can’t believe Monday is almost here. One good thing about this Monday: it’s hot wing night!
What was the best thing you ate all weekend?
All this food is making me hungry! I am really overdue for a girls weekend, especially somewhere warmn.
ReplyDeleteI swear, you've gone out and traveled more in the last month than I will probably do all year! That just means I am jealous.
ReplyDeleteHooray for Cholula and hot wing night!
What an awesome weekend! I was a little sick over the weekend so I didn't have too much fun but I had have some yummy sushi on Friday night.
ReplyDeleteI'm still recovering. What a blast!
