137.4…Luck of the Irish
I’m still smiling thinking about all the fun I had last night. Best friends, great food, fabulous wine, and all things GREEN!
Last night was Bunco at my friend Jaimy’s house. She instructed everyone to wear green for a St. Patrick’s Day shindig. Green was all around including the appetizers.
Spinach dip and tons of veggies!
Jaimy even made a special green cocktail: A Thin Mint!
It actually tasted like the Thin Mint cookies! It was hard to choose between that and my beloved wine!
The green continued at dinnertime. There was a large green salad:
Check out this mini baked potatoes with sour cream. How cute are they!?!
More green: Pesto Penne with chicken:
This is plate number one:
I went back for seconds. Everything was delicious! The pasta rocked!
I snapped pics with some of my best pals. Dina and I:
Alicia and I:
Lisa and I:
When dessert rolled around, I somehow managed to avoid these cupcakes:
I don’t know how I did it. Maybe it was the luck of the Irish?
Awesome night! Just looking at the pictures make me smile.
Breakfast this morning was wheat toast with peanut butter and strawberries.
My husband took the kids to school this morning so I got to relax a bit before heading to the gym. I took a Zumba class today and it felt great!
Afterwards I ran a bunch of errands. I stopped at Daphne’s for lunch. I had never been there! I chose the Greek Salad with grilled chicken and whole wheat pita.
Why haven’t I been to Daphne’s before!?! This salad was awesome! I will be back there for sure!
I was supposed to have a doctor appointment this afternoon that got cancelled last minute so I went to Starbucks and read instead while enjoying my latte.
I picked up the kids from school and now I’m home….about to get ready for another dinner out tonight. After tonight, I’ll be ready for a night in for sure!
Are you doing anything special for St. Patrick’s Day?
You MUST grab an order of Fire Feta from Daphne's!! You will love it!!!! Amazing!
