135.4…Not Everything Freezes Well
So…I pulled another container of leftovers out of the freezer for dinner last night. It was some leftover pasta from my Swap Party. I was careful defrosting it and even added more sauce to it because it looked a bit dry.
It sucked. It was just plain mushy. I’ve had success freezing pasta before but this one just didn’t work out. When I asked my husband if he wanted me to save the leftovers (of the leftovers) for him later, he said “Hell, no.” I guess that said it all.
At least the salad (not frozen) I served with it was good. :)
Breakfast this morning was scrambled egg beaters, shredded cheddar cheese, salami and an English muffin with butter.
Yum!
I took the kids to school and went to Zumba class. After class I came home and started packing for this weekend. My group of friends always celebrates their birthday by going away for a night or two with the whole group. I know my birthday is in December but it’s my birthday we are celebrating this weekend! You see…people are super busy in December and the weather sucks so I prefer to do it in the spring like I did last year. I’m so excited for 2 days with just my best girl friends!
For lunch I went to Jersey Mike’s again. I had a coupon for $1 off and I really enjoyed my last experience so I was excited to go again.
This time I went with the turkey and provolone. Delicious! I think I’m hooked. Something else I’m hooked on: Foursquare social app. Just when I think I should quit it, I get a coupon for the place I’m visiting. Today I got free chips and a free drink at Jersey Mike’s. I didn’t eat the chips so I decided to take them home. I’m sure they will get eaten later.
I just got my spray tan for this weekend so I’m almost ready to go! I’m not going to blog while I’m there but I’m sure I will have plenty of pictures to share with you when I return. :)
Sunday my family and my husband’s family will be joining me at the hotel to celebrate Mother’s Day. It’s going to be a fun weekend!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
What are your plans for this weekend!
You travel and eat out more than anyone I know! (secretly I am jealous!)
ReplyDeleteGoing to church with my Mom and bringing over quiche and salad for lunch - then the hubs is making me spicy mussels for dinner!
Have fun!
