Celebrating With Old Friends
Hola from Mexico! I have so many pictures to share with you so I’m going to break up my posts. First up: our friend’s 40th birthday party!
Friday night we drove to Orange County to help celebrate our friend Jason’s 40th birthday. We arrived at The Winery restaurant in Tustin right on time.
We had the entire back patio to ourselves.
My husband and the birthday boy:
Jason is a fraternity brother of my husband’s.
Jason’s wife Stacey and I:
There were a few delicious passed appetizers that we enjoyed on the patio.
Ahi tuna:

My husband and his fraternity brothers:
We went inside to the private dinning room where there was a special menu awaiting us.
For my first course, I chose the Caprese salad.
This is one of my favorite salads ever. I always add extra balsamic vinegar. :)
For my entree I chose the Shrimp & Scallops on Risotto.
Loved the saffron in the risotto.
My husband and I split two desserts. Crème Brulee:
Cheesecake:
We had such a fun time! I think it’s so great that my husband keeps in touch with all his college friends.
Do you keep in touch with old friends?
Looks like a great birthday party! I have a few college friends I still see on a regular basis but so many are all over the country.
ReplyDeleteI love how the tuna was served in those spoons. Good times! My twin sister and I still get together with our best friends that are twins - we've known each other since 3rd grade!
