140.8…Pacific Coast Grill
Wow. I have been eating a ton lately! Just the way I like it. :)
Tuesday night I made a pizza to use up the rest of the sauce I bought last time I made pizza. I used the same Pillsbury dough as I did last time but I pre-cooked it longer this time so it would be crunchier.
It got a bit burnt on the edges but I kinda liked it that way.
Yesterday’s breakfast was Trader Joe’s Vanilla Bean Greek Yogurt with Cascadian Farms granola, strawberries and raspberries.
I took the kids to school and came home to get ready for my friend Nora’s birthday lunch at Pacific Coast Grill.
PCG is a relatively new restaurant and is located right on the water on Coast Highway 101. The views and decor are incredible! I felt like I was on vacation somewhere relaxing.
My lunch started with a refreshing glass of Chardonnay.
Lisa and I:
Cathi and I:
Cathi and I split the Surf and Turf Roll: seared Kobe beef, lobster, avocado & spicy dragon sauce.
Fabulous! The flavors were amazing together. I wanted another one!
The table shared some chips and guacamole:
The sharing continued with the Lobster Tacos (with roasted-corn tomato salsa, black beans and flour tortillas) that Cathi and I split:
Also fabulous! The ingredients were excellent and everything tasted so fresh!
Me, Cathi and Annette:

Happy Birthday Nora!!!
After lunch I met my husband for a meeting and then we came home.
It was date night so off to my favorite restaurant, Firenze Trattoria, we went.
More vino. :)
We split our standard Chopped Caesar salad.
After we ordered it, we remembered how fabulous their bruschetta was last time….we have to remember to order it next time!
I already knew what I wanted for dinner before we arrived: Pollo Piccata.
I ate every bite. Big surprise, right? After dinner, I was stuffed. That was a ton of food for one day!
This morning’s breakfast was a toasted English muffin with peanut butter and a side of strawberries.
I took the kids to school, went to a meeting and then hit the road for Los Angeles to visit my dad where I am now!
Lunch was El Pollo Loco. Yes!
Chicken, tortillas, roasted corn and cole slaw. Basically a container of happiness.
I plan to hang out with parents today and head back to San Diego tomorrow. I think I could just about make that drive with my eyes closed by now. :)
If you could eat anything you wanted right now, what would it be?
That sushi looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try PCG. Now I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI could eat pizza every single day and never get sick of it - I don't mind the crispy burnt edges! :D
