136.4…Gifts & Eats Galore
After coming home from Las Vegas, I thought I wouldn’t be able to eat another bite. Well, it turns out I was wrong. By dinner time I was hungry again. Off to Pei Wei we went with the kids.
My husband and I split Dan Dan Noodles:
And Kung Pao Chicken:
Tuesday morning’s breakfast was a toasted English muffin with peanut butter and a side of strawberries.
I dropped off the kids at school and came home to wrap gifts. Lunch was Wahoo’s aka the normal weekday lunch. :)
Last night was a our holiday Bunco. It’s my favorite Bunco of the year. We do a gift exchange and it’s always fun! This year Tami hosted and really outdid herself. The holiday decorations were amazing and the food was plentiful and delicious!
Appetizers galore!
Dinner was a holiday meal with all the fixings!
My plate….with a bit of everything, of course!
Check out the dessert buffet!
Then it was time to get down the nitty gritty. The gift exchange!
Everyone draws a number. You can pick a new gift or steal a gift that someone else has chosen. It’s always fun and fortunately mostly drama free. :) I ended up with a Nordstrom gift card that I am not upset about. :)
Thank you Tami for a memorable evening of fun, food and fabulous friends!
After such a late night, getting up this morning was a bit of a challenge. Breakfast was in order: egg beaters on toasted English muffin with Swiss cheese.
I took the kids to school and decided a trip to Starbucks was in order.
Free birthday coffee. (My birthday is on Sunday by the way. Gifts accepted)
Rest of the day was spent doing laundry, wrapping more gifts and trying not to fall asleep.
Lunch wasn’t super exciting but did the trick: turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich.
The parties continue tonight: a birthday dinner for me with all my girl friends! Should be a good time!
What’s the best gift you’ve received in a gift exchange?
I just can't get over the size of that foyer - holy shizz!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done a real gift exchange in a long time, but we used to do a White Elephant, which is more along the lines of chia pets, etc., more gag gifts. My nephew one year was stoked that he got the chia pet!
The only party I am going to is my office party tomorrow at lunch - at least that's something! I'll continue to live vicariously through your amazing life!
I just played Bunko last weekend for the first time -- it was so much fun! It is a new group and I hope we can have as much fun as you and your group seem to. Looks like quite a night!
