139.8…Panini Party
A ton of eating has transpired since my last post. Let’s start with dinner last night at Truluck’s in La Jolla. I hadn’t been in awhile and forgot how nice the inside of the restaurant was.
I enjoyed some wine while we waited for our friends to arrive. Once we were seated, we ordered calamari while we decided on our entrees.
I split a wedge salad with the hubby.
Glad we split it. That was my half.
For my entree I ordered the Miso Glazed Seabass:
South Georgian Chilean Seabass served with crab fried rice and chilled cucumber slaw. Yes, it was as good as it sounds. But wait….it gets better.
The Chocolate Bag:
The “bag” was made of chocolate and it was filled with pound cake, berries and icing. Unreal.
Breakfast this morning was pineapple Chobani, Cascadian Farms granola and mixed berries.
I took the kids to school and met Lisa and Annette at the gym. Afterwards it was time to change and head to Dina’s house for Lisa’s birthday lunch.
Look what was awaiting my arrival:
Nice!
Dina made an unbelievable lunch. Awesome Asian chicken salad:
Fruit:
The best part of the lunch were the paninis that Dina made.
Ciabatta roll, boursin cheese, roasted tomato tapenade, pesto and sliced chicken breast. Better than any restaurant panini for sure. I may have to recreate this at home.

Then it was time for the birthday cake!
Red velvet with cream cheese icing!

Lisa and Cathi:
It was such a fun afternoon celebrating Lisa’s birthday (which is actually Friday), laughing with friends and enjoying amazing eats!
If you could make your ideal panini, what would be in it?
