138.4…Getting Back Into The Groove
Saturday night I went with my brother and Stephanie to dinner at Sahara for some delicious Armenian food. This place is SO good!
We shared hummus, tzatiki, feta, veggies and pita start.
Amazing hummus and tzatiki. I could have just eaten that for dinner. Don’t forget the cabbage salad. Another thing I could live on.
If that wasn’t enough, I also had a lamb kabob with rice pilaf.
When can I go back??
Sunday morning I had breakfast with my mom at the hospital cafeteria. I discovered something I wish I had weeks ago.
Breakfast burrito! Why haven’t I tried this!?! It was really good!! Sausage, egg, potatoes, peppers and cheese. I added Tapatio hot sauce to every bite. I was a happy cafeteria camper.
After breakfast I said goodbye to my dad and drove back to San Diego. My dad is continuing to improve and I hope that everything is under control!
That evening I attended a fundraising gala for an organization that my husband belongs to. It was so nice to get dressed up and go out for an evening with my husband.
After the cocktail hour, we were seated for dinner. The meal started off with a mixed greens salad.
For my entree I chose the sea bass and it was excellent. Usually I find that mass prepared food isn’t always that great. I really enjoyed my mass produced dinner this time. :)
Enjoying our evening out. :)
After dinner, there was an area opened where there was a band, dance floor, “casino” and dessert bar. We gambled a bit and then enjoyed some dessert.
The tables were lit up from underneath hence the strange purple glow in the photo.
Yesterday morning’s breakfast was an egg beater sandwich on a English muffin with shredded cheddar cheese.
After breakfast it was time to head over to the bowling alley for my son’s 8th birthday party! The party was a success and my son had a blast! I had some pizza at the party.
My family came back to our house to continue the festivities. I put out some cheese and crackers and various chips and dips. Dinner was picked up at Los Primos. I split a bean and cheese burrito and carne asada mini tacos with my husband.
Their carne asada mini tacos are the BEST! After everyone left, I got the house cleaned up and went to bed.
This morning’s breakfast was Trader Joe’s Greek vanilla yogurt, Cascadian Farms granola and strawberries.
I dropped the kids off at school and went to Cardio Muscle class. From there it was running a ton of errands. Being in Los Angeles as much as I’ve been, my to-do list is quite long. I try to get as much of it taken care of at once as possible.
I stopped in the middle of the errand running at Chipotle for lunch. Chicken bowl with guacamole:
I just finished making a chocolate cake for my son’s birthday. His actual birthday is tomorrow. :)
Tonight is Hot Wing night! Feels like to be getting back in my groove again!
What was the best thing you ate all weekend?
Glad you are getting your groove back and hot damn for hot wing night!
