144.8…Fish Tacos, Take Two
Wednesday night we went to Su Casa in La Jolla to celebrate our friend’s birthday.
We all shared some delicious, spicy guacamole.
For my entree, I ordered the fish tacos. I saw on the menu that they were supposed to be “the best”. When I ordered them, I asked for the fish grilled, not fried. The server said they are better fried and they “aren’t fried very much.”
Huh?? I’m not sure they could get more fried than that. They were “build your own tacos” by the way. I made two tacos…they weren’t that good. My friend said the fish tasted like Van de Camp’s and I’d have to agree. Fish taco fail.
We celebrated the end of the evening with a mango cake from Champagne Bakery.
Thursday morning’s breakfast was split into two parts. The first part was a grapefruit right before I went to the gym.
The second part was peanut butter on toast after the gym.
My mom came down to visit so I took her to a new restaurant in Del Mar called Casa Sol y Mar. I decided to try my luck at the fish tacos again. Grilled this time.
They were better than the first but not anything special. I would be willing to try the restaurant again though and maybe order something different. Fish taco fail number two.
Dinner was much better. We all went to our club. My husband and I split the Southwestern Caesar Salad.
We also shared a fabulous pizza: onions, bell peppers and loads of garlic.
Soooo good!!!!
Breakfast this morning was pineapple Chobani yogurt, the last of the Cranberry Pecan Granola, strawberries and blueberries.
I went to Cardio Muscle class, ran some errands and then met Lisa at Wahoo’s for fish tacos.
Not a ton of stuff going on this weekend but I do have a couple of new recipes planned!
Are you planning on making any new recipes this weekend? Try any awesome new recipes lately?
