144.2…A Weekend In Review
What a weekend packed with birthday events! It all started Friday night for my friend’s husband’s surprise party. We arrived after the surprise but I heard he had no idea!
Dinner was catered with barbeque food.
Delicious ribs, salad and cole slaw!
Saturday it was up and at ‘em! My husband took my daughter to her early soccer game. I quickly ate toast with peanut butter before taking my son to his tennis lesson.
Then it was off to La Costa to celebrate my friend Lauren’s birthday! I immediately joined the other ladies who were enjoying the sun at the spa pool.
With my wine, I enjoyed their amazing chicken salad for lunch.
The ladies:
We all had massages then came back to the room to get ready for dinner at Bistro 65.
I enjoyed the Line Caught Swordfish Brochettes with fried capers and parsley gremolata.
For my sides I chose the asparagus and white cheddar potato pave. The potatoes were my favorite.
After dinner we went back to the room, rented a movie and called it a night!
The next morning Lisa went downstairs and picked up breakfast for everyone. Breakfast in bed!
Egg white breakfast burrito with spinach. It wasn’t very good. A little too healthy tasting. :)
We spent the next few hours at the pool. For lunch I split the Turkey Pancetta Sandwich with Garlic Parmesan Fries with Annette.
Amazing. The sandwich was incredible and the fries rocked. I love good pool food! Best meal I had all weekend!
Well…maybe it was tied with dinner. Burger night with friends at our club!
Turkey burger with provolone cheese, arugula, tomato, red onion and pesto aioli. I had sweet potato fries on the side. They have the best burgers ever.
It was back to regular life this morning. Breakfast was pineapple Chobani yogurt, Gluten Free Granola, strawberries and blueberries.
I dropped the kids off at school, then went to Cardio Muscle class. I didn’t have much energy when the class started but I felt a ton better afterwards. Isn’t that always the case?
Lunch was fish tacos at Wahoo’s.
Tonight we are off to the Chargers Monday Night Football game!!
What was the best thing you ate all weekend?
I'd like to have your life just for a week!
