142.4…Whisknladle
Last night my husband and I went to Whisknladle with several other couples for dinner. We were seated in the private dinning room and had a set menu just for our group.
Our meal was served family style starting with their Daily Flatbread.
This was excellent. Next up were the Bacon Wrapped Dates.
I had one and it was stuffed with cheese and simply amazing. My favorite starter, though, was the Chino Farms’ Caesar Salad:
Chino Farms is a local farm and you could taste the difference in the lettuce. So fresh!
Our entree was complete with Herb Roasted Chicken:
Beef Coulotte:
Salt Roasted Potatoes:
Suzie’s Farm Mixed Veggies (another local farm):
My plate:
Everything was incredible. I think the Brussels Spouts were the best I’ve ever had.
The meal wouldn’t be complete without dessert right? Flourless Chocolate Cake:
I’m not always a fan of flourless chocolate cakes but this one was excellent. Reminded me a bit of a molten lava cake, actually!
This was my second time at Whisknladle and it was extremely enjoyable!
Breakfast this morning was the same as yesterday: scrambled egg beaters, green onions, tomatoes and shredded cheddar cheese.
My husband took the kids to Los Angeles for a birthday party and I got the house to myself! I’d like to say that I laid around and did nothing but this was not the case. Too much to do around here. :)
Lunch was a turkey sandwich and a salad.
Once my family gets home, we are going to an event at the school tonight. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
What was the best thing you ate all weekend?
Was there a special event that you guys got the special menu? Looks delicious! I had pizza Saturday night - you can never go wrong with pizza!
ReplyDeleteThe best thing I ate all weekend was lunch Saturday at a "healthified Southern cooking" (oxymoron I know!) restaurant. The broccoli casserole was to die for! Whisknladle seems like an amazing restaurant; all the dishes look super fresh!
