142.6…The Jinx

Yesterday the baking bug hit me so I decided to make chocolate chip cookies.

So…yesterday I mentioned that we had plans to go to dinner at Blue Ribbon Pizza with our Alicia and her family to celebrate her husband’s birthday. Well….Blue Ribbon doesn’t take reservations and when we arrived, there was a wait of an hour and a half for our party of eight. I’ve found that if I mention a certain restaurant on the blog that I’m planning on going to…something usually happens  so we end up not going! It’s the jinx!!!

Everything happens for a reason though. We ended up across the street at Trattoria I Trulli and it was fabulous! My husband and I split the Caprese Estate salad to start.

For my entree I ordered the Farfalle with Salmon in a Vodka Cream Sauce. It was out of this world delicious.

Since it was Joe’s birthday, we splurged and split a couple of desserts.

Cannoli:

I had a couple bites of this one. Was pretty good!

Chocolate Mousse Cake:

Didn’t try this one. Looked too dense/rich for me. Overall, we really enjoyed this restaurant and would go back for sure!

Breakfast this morning was a toasted English muffin with peanut butter and a grapefruit.

I dropped the kids off at school, went to Cardio Muscle class, then ran a ton of errands. Lunch was a repeat of Sunday’s lunch: turkey sandwich, bell peppers and ranch dressing.

I ate it at my desk. :)

Do you believe in the jinx? I do! I always think I’m going to jinx myself!
