144.2…Ladies Who Lunch
Last night I took my kids to an event at the school. The kids watched a movie and ate pizza while the adults played “get-to-know-each-other” games, enjoyed some wine and a buffet of pasta, hummus and egg rolls.
I was dreading the event a bit as it was a school event (you know how they go) but this one was surprisingly fun and enjoyable!
Breakfast this morning was scrambled egg beaters with salsa and cheddar cheese.
I took the kids to school, ran some errands, then went to The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe for Alicia’s birthday lunch. Lunch was at Morada Restaurant at the Inn. Alicia’s invitation instructed us to put on our favorite luncheon dress!
The Inn had recently renovated and I was looking forward to seeing what changes were made. The restaurant was gorgeous!
Me and the birthday girl:
There were SO many tempting things on the menu. It took me awhile to decide but I finally chose the Kobe Beef Sliders (red onion & bacon aioli, house dried tomato). It was the bacon aioli that sold me.
They did not disappoint. Everything was prepared perfectly. I’m already looking forward to going back just to try the other menu items.
All the ladies in their “luncheon dresses”:
A perfect way to spend a Friday afternoon if you ask me! Happy Birthday Alicia!
What’s your ideal Friday afternoon?
Happy Birthday to Alicia! Is she the one that hosts the chicken wing nights?
