Buenos Dias de Mexico!
Greetings from Punta de Mita, Mexico! We flew through Tijuana, Mexico on Thursday morning. The drive was easy there and flying through there was a snap! The best part was "breakfast" at the airport!
Yes….that's wine…it's vacation…what can I say!?!
We all ordered chilaquiles.
I couldn't get over how good they were. When can I go back? Who knew….Tijuana airport!
We finally arrived and hopped in our ride to our friend's condo. It was hot….it was nice to cool off with a cold towel.
Dramatic. :)
We settled in then went down to the restaurant for dinner. I ordered the flank steak.
It was just ok. I ordered some tortillas to make tacos out of it and it was much better.
I shared my husband's dessert: brownie with ice cream.
Friday morning I grabbed some cereal and milk for breakfast. We had gone to the store on the way to the hotel after we arrived.
The entire fabulous day was spent at the pool and the beach.
Happy girl.
i ordered fish tacos (big surprise) for lunch.
They were not the usual fish tacos and were just ok. Their guacamole here is fabulous though!!
Later that afternoon we headed over to the marina for a sunset boat ride!
We enjoyed some more delicious guacamole. I think I could live on this stuff.
Our friends John:
And Kate:
We saw tons of whales, dolphins and sea turtles!
And enjoyed delicious appetizers throughout the evening.
Yesterday morning we headed back to the beach/pool. We had some other friends join us and a couple of them were teaching the kids how to surf!
For lunch (woke up too late for breakfast) :) I ordered shrimp tacos. I liked them better than the fish tacos.
We went out into Punta de Mita for dinner and dined at Rosa Mexicano. We enjoyed table side roasted tomato salsa and guacamole.
My entree was local shrimp with rice, beans and tortillas.
We ordered a dessert platter of caramel crepes, chocolate mousse and flan.
Today there will be some more pool/beach action. I don't think I could ever get tired of this.
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I'm from Tijuana and the airport is nothing compared to the actual city! You should go sometime, the high class restaurants (the ones we go to) are BOMB! everything fresh, such good quality, and much better than San Diego!
ReplyDeleteYour blog name should be "I puffy heart fish tacos!" I could eat Mexican food every day and never get sick of it. And I love guacamole made table side so I can say "no onions!"
ReplyDeleteAnd, I am completely jealous of the weather - tomorrow our HIGH is six degrees!
@Denisse Cristina
ReplyDeleteI will definitely have to try them!!
