142.8…Worth The Wait?
Our Big Bear adventure continued at lunch on Saturday. Since it was quite warm, the skiing wasn't that great, so I picked everyone up along with some McDonald's for lunch.
I had my standard Grilled Chicken McWrap. They didn't have my beloved hot mustard sauce (??) at that location but introduced me to Hot Buffalo sauce instead! I didn't know this existed!!!! It was quite exciting. :)
We spent the rest of the day relaxing at the house. That evening, one of the husbands offered to cook dinner for us. He whipped up an amazing meal!!
He grilled steak, chicken and some bread for bruschetta:
Along with the tomatoes for the bruschetta, asparagus and couscous salad:
Everything was outstanding! It's so nice when someone else cooks for you!
Dessert was a brownie type cake with ice cream.
I went to bed full and happy.
Someone else also prepared breakfast yesterday morning. Eggs, bacon and quesadillas. Yum!
We hung around outside until lunch. There was a burger place nearby called "Get The Burger." Someone in the group went the day before and there was a long line and 45-60 minute wait for your food. It had to be good, right!?! Yesterday we decided that we were going to get burgers there. There was no one in line when we got there but there still was a 45-60 minute wait! It didn't seem like they were very organized in there but we decided we would stick it out. The verdict?
It was worth the wait. I ordered a regular cheeseburger and it came with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and secret sauce. It reminded me a lot of In N Out Burger. Delicious. We all shared a few side: French fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries and tater tots. ALL were outstanding. They might not have their act together in that place, but the food made up for it!
After lunch we packed up and drove home. We were all tired so I quickly whipped up some pasta for dinner. Easy.
It was nice sleeping in this morning without having to deal with the school rush. Breakfast was a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios and almond milk.
I went to Cardio Muscle class and then took my daughter to a birthday party. After I dropped her off, I went with a friend to The Corner Bakery for lunch. I ordered the Chopped Salad and Chili.
It's kinda funny…..I've been to The Corner Bakery at least twenty times. I usually order the same thing. EVERY time I order the chili, I ask for green onions. They NEVER give them to me. It's almost comical at this point.
Tonight I have a meeting and my son has basketball practice so it will be the perfect night to pull something out of the freezer to heat up for dinner.
What the longest you had to wait for "fast food"?

On the rare occasion that I get McDonald's I always get the hot sauce - did you know that Subway has a creamy sriracha sauce?? So good!
