143.2…Weekend Eating
I've basically been eating my way through the weekend. It all started at Rosina's Italian Restaurant on Friday night. My husband and I shared Caesar salad to begin our meal.
I had the Canneloni (crepes filled with veal, chicken, sun dried tomato and cheese, baked with tomato sauce and creamy béchamel):
Amazing.
After dinner we all went to Sweet Things Frozen Yogurt for dessert. I enjoyed some cake batter and peanut butter frozen yogurt topped with Heath Bar bits and cookie dough.
Saturday morning's breakfast was an English muffin with peanut butter and leftover fruit salad.
We went to my son's basketball game and from there both kids went over to friend's houses for sleep overs. I came home and made a turkey sandwich, veggies and ranch dressing for lunch.
My husband and I had the evening to ourselves. Date night was on! The first stop was The Pony Room at Rancho Valencia for dinner. We sat outdoors and it was a beautiful San Diego evening.
My meal started with the Honolulu Ahi Sashimi (avocado, ponzu, sesame seeds, sweet & sour dipping sauce):
This was followed by the Sausage & Salami Flatbread (wild mushrooms, chive, mozzarella and chili flakes):
The food there is so good! The next stop was the movie theatre to see "Neighbors". There were some hilarious scenes but there were some equally stupid scenes. Overall, it was an average movie, in my opinion, but it was nice to just turn off your brain, relax and laugh a bit.
Breakfast this morning was scrambled egg beaters with chicken sausage, salsa and cheddar cheese.
My daughter is still at a friend's house and my son is golfing with my husband. I have the house all to myself. I'm knocking things off my to-do list left and right!
Lunch was a tuna sandwich and veggies that never got photographed. It's crazy how I take pictures of everything I eat but every now and then I forget to. Oh well!
What was the best thing you ate all weekend?
