Family Celebrations
Greetings from Los Angeles! We are here celebrating my nephew's Bar Mitzvah! So far the weekend has been complete with family, fun and food!
Yesterday's breakfast was a toasted English muffin with peanut butter and half a grapefruit.
I was at the school all morning volunteering. At noon, it was time to hit the road for Los Angeles. I picked up McDonald's for lunch. We had to eat in the car which presents a problem for photographing my grilled chicken McWrap.
We arrived at the hotel and got ready for the celebratory dinner at Trattoria Neapolis in Pasadena. The meal was served family style and started with Caesar salad.
The salad was served with Margherita Pizzas.
The main course was Spaghetti Pomodoro:
Roasted Chicken Marsala:
There were two sides: Fingerling Potatoes and Sautéed Baby Broccoli.
Desserts were Tiramisu and Chocolate Semifreddo.
After dinner it was bedtime!
Breakfast this morning was at the buffet. I had a bagel with lox, cream cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers. I also had an Eggs Benedict. Delish!
We went to services at the temple and celebrated the Bar Mitzvah of my nephew. We enjoyed a light lunch afterwards. When we left, we were still a bit hungry so we had the fabulous idea to pick up Taco Bell on the way back to the hotel.
Brilliant.
Favorite fast food? Taco Bell. Hands down.
