143.6…Weekend Grub
To make up for not blogging all weekend, I give you this picture of my dog Arnold getting comfy on the chair she's really not supposed to sit on.
On Friday night we went to Mia Francesca for dinner. My husband and I split the Bruschette all Romana (garlic toast with tomato, basil, mozzarella and olive oil):
I ordered the Salmone all Fresca (roasted salmon with tomato, avocado, red onion, olive oil, basil and lemon over grilled asparagus):
I've ordered this before and it's always excellent. Great flavor combination.
A Friday night would not be complete without some Swirls Frozen Yogurt.
I usually just watch the kids eat their yogurt but ever since I discovered their salted caramel pretzel flavor, I cannot help myself.
Saturday morning, we took our family from Atlanta to the Broken Yolk for brunch. I had an omelet with roasted chilies and pepperjack cheese.
The service was insanely slow and the food super greasy. Oh well.
Later that night we went out with some friends to Alfonso's in La Jolla for dinner. I had the Baja Burrito (fillet of white grilled fish, shredded cabbage, salsa fresco & mild white sauce):
Afterwards we went to friend's 40th birthday party at Old Venice in Point Loma. I was able to snag a few bites of this delicious warm cookie with ice cream there. Otherwise, we were just hanging out enjoying some wine.
Sunday morning we had to head out early to Los Angeles for my nephew's birthday party. Before I left, I ate half a bagel with jalapeño cream cheese.
At the party, I had some pizza and salad before heading off to my brother in law's house where we enjoyed some chips and dip before dinner. We picked up dinner at Wood Ranch BBQ. Their tri tip is amazing.
Tri tip, mac and cheese and salad. Then it was time for the long drive home. That's a lot of driving in one day. I was glad to finally get home.
After all the decadent food I ate this weekend, I was really to have a healthy Monday today. It started off with scrambled egg beaters with salsa and cheddar cheese.
After I dropped the kids off at school, I went to Cardio Muscle class. That is the perfect way for me to start my week off on the right foot.
Afterwards I ran a ton of errands and came home for lunch.
Tuna, veggies and ranch dressing. The usual.
Did you fall off the healthy-eating wagon this weekend like me?

I love going out to breakfast, but I hate if its greasy - ew! Love all your eats though! And now I am thinking about tri tip! Love that stuff!
