144.0…Indian Fabulousness
I was quite looking forward to leftovers on Monday night:
Buffalo Chicken Chili. Seriously amazing stuff.
Breakfast yesterday morning was a small bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios with almond milk.
I knew I was headed over to Cathi's house for her annual "pool party before the kids get out of school" event. True to Cathi's fabulous hosting style, there were lots of yummy things to eat.
Eventually I had to get back to reality and head to the school for some meetings/events.
The party continued on last night at Sarah's house for Bunco. It was "Bollywood" theme complete with seriously delicious Indian food. You know how much I love me some Indian food!!!
There was a beautiful cheese platter (not Indian) and samosas for appetizers.

Like I said…the food was incredible. Sarah's family owns the Kasi Indian restaurants here in San Diego and that's where the food came from.
Chicken Tikka Masala:
Channa Masala (chickpeas, onions and tomatoes flavored with a blend of ginger, garlic and spices):
Saag Paneer (spinach cooked with herbs, spices and traditional Indian cheese):
Chicken Biryani (rice dish with chicken):
I loaded my plate with all of the above plus rice and naan bread.
This is heaven for me.
Some of the ladies in attendance:
Thank you Sarah for a seriously awesome night. The food, decor and ambiance were incredible!!
After all that delicious Indian food, my meals today were boring. Breakfast was an egg beater omelet with chicken sausage, green onions, salsa and cheddar cheese.
I took the kids to school, went to the gym, then Costco and the grocery store. I'm hosting two parties this weekend so things are going to be busy over here very shortly.
Lunch was tuna salad, veggies and ranch dressing. The usual.
Do you enjoy Indian food? What's your favorite dish?

I've never actually been to an Indian restaurant - there aren't any near where I live - well, there was one, but once it got a notice from the health department and was shut down for over a week, I didn't dare try it when it reopened, and now it's closed!
ReplyDeleteI love chicken tikka masala though! This is my go to recipe:
