143.6…The 4th Eats
I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July! We did! We met friends at the Grand Del Mar Hotel for dinner and fireworks. Their buffet was pretty darn good. I enjoyed a cheeseburger, Caesar salad, Cole slaw and amazing mac and cheese.
I ate a sugar cookie with icing off my daughter's plate for dessert. I loved it. I made the executive decision not to visit the dessert buffet. Good call….when we walked past it to leave that evening, everything looked incredible. It could have been very dangerous. Anyway….the firework show was spectacular! We had such a fabulous evening.
Breakfast yesterday morning was a toasted English muffin with a fried egg and cheddar cheese.
The boys went golfing and my daughter and I ran errands, stopping at Souplantation for lunch. I did not manage to avoid the pizza bread. Can't win em all.
We had a groupon for Vittorio's so that's where we went for dinner. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad.
I really like their Caesar salad. But that's about it. For the last couple of years, every time we go there I find the food to all taste the same: bland. We shared a Vegetarian Pizza.
Eh. Bland. So was the Linguine Fra Diablo with Chicken.
I think that will be the last of Vittorio's. The service was also incredibly slow. :(
Breakfast this morning was Cinnamon Toast Crunch with almond milk.
Ain't nothing wrong with a little sugary cereal now and then. :)
What did you eat on July 4th?
