145.2…Fourth of July Trifle
It's a bit too late for this year, but I have a dessert you should totally make next Fourth of July! You can throw it together in a snap and impress the heck out of people.
Fourth of July Trifle
Recipe from Fancy Frugal Life
Ingredients:
1 pint of strawberries
1 pint of blueberries
1 loaf frozen Sara Lee Pound Cake
Whipped cream
Star cookie cutter
Directions:
Defrost pound cake and cut in half right through the middle (long ways). Cut out star shapes with your cookie cutter. Assemble in trifle dish however your heart pleases.
I took the trifle over to Alicia's house yesterday. We had hot wings! Yes!
I brought over a couple bags of a BBQ ranch salad mix to go with the wings.
Last night my kids went over to a friends house for a sleep over. My husband and I headed over to the Pony Room at Rancho Valencia for dinner. We shared chips, guacamole and salsa.
I ordered the Lobster Tacos (shredded romaine, steamed corn tortillas, spanish brown rice, black beans, avocado, radish, Guajillo Pepper Aioli). Fab.
Dessert had to be the H&J Cookie Sundae. It's too good not to.
Breakfast this morning was Honey Nut Cheerios and almond milk.
I went to Cardio Muscle class then picked up the kiddos along with their friends who are spending the night at our house tonight. I ordered pizza for lunch. I had a slice along with BBQ Ranch salad leftovers.
I need to start packing….we are headed to Thailand on Wednesday!!!! I've never been and am very excited!
Have you been to Thailand? Any recommendations?
