142.6…Perfume & Pizza
Thursday night my husband was out of town so out came the salmon for dinner. Amazing Salmon to be more specific.
I cannot get enough of that salmon. It tasted incredible with the leftover vegetables from our dinner at our club Wednesday night.
Yesterday's breakfast was the last of the frittata from Tami's birthday and some watermelon.
I took the kids to school then went to Cardio Muscle class. I had some repairmen at the house so I was prisoner at home for awhile. Lunch was tuna salad, veggies and ranch dressing.
I love my tuna salad but this one was extra fabulous. I add chopped tomatoes to it. Delish! Besides the tomatoes, I added green onions, celery, parsley, pickle relish, mustard, mayo, garlic salt, celery salt and paprika.
I picked the kids up from school, then went to an event for the wives of a group my husband belongs to. It was a perfume making event hosted by Dana of Pastiche. I brought my daughter to one of these events awhile back. My daughter has since absconded with the fragrance so I was excited to make my own! Before we began creating our fragrances, we enjoyed a delicious dinner.
Salad:
Pastiche Pizza…..pastiche means taking a combination of things and putting them together….so that is what is going on with the pizzas. Mushrooms, arugula, pears, gorgonzola and while chocolate. Yep. White chocolate. And it worked!
Before going in the oven:
The final creation:
It was a great combination of sweet and savory, for sure!
We had a great time experiencing all the different fragrances and then making our own. We chose from four different bases (citrus, grandiflora, woody amber and white musk) and six different "toppings" (bergamot, cacao flower, grassy, tuberose, pear & freesia and vanilla). I chose white musk for my base and mixed in pear & freesia and vanilla. I must say I did a fabulous job! :)
We also enjoyed some dessert before heading home.
Breakfast this morning was scrambled egg beaters with salsa, tomatoes, green onions, parsley and cheddar cheese.
Today has been brilliantly lazy so far. I did bake some Banana Bread and Crack Brownies though!!
Lunch was a repeat of yesterday. It was just too good not to!
