143.6…Eat What's There
Every now and then I take a look through my refrigerator, freezer and/or pantry and try to use up what I have. Instead of recreating the wheel, how about make meals out of what you already have?
It was pretty easy to do that last night considering I had leftovers from our barbecue this past weekend.
Chipotle chicken sausage, corn on the cob and American Macaroni Salad.
This morning, I was digging around in my freezer and realized I had strawberry waffles that my daughter used to eat but doesn't anymore. I decided it would be great toasted with some peanut butter. It was!
After I took the kids to school, I had an appointment and then met a repair man at my house. In between all this, I quickly threw together a turkey sandwich, veggies and ranch dressing for lunch.
Then it was off to a meeting at the school and now I'm waiting to pick up the kiddos. I think I'll dig around my fridge tonight and see what I come up with for dinner...
Do you ever try to create meals simply using what you have in your pantry?
