144.2…Speakeasy
I recently realized that Thanksgiving is fast approaching. This is about the time every year that I also realize I need to start clearing out my freezer to make way for all the do-ahead Thanksgiving dishes that I freeze. I saw that I had taco meat in there so tacos it was for dinner last night!
You can't go wrong with taco night.
Breakfast this morning was scrambled egg beaters with salsa, green onions and cheddar cheese.
After I dropped the kids off at school, I went to a PTO meeting and then off to The Grand Del Mar for Dia Del Sol's annual event benefiting Untied Cerebral Palsy. They had a fun theme this year: a Speakeasy.
Lisa, who was on the planning committee, requested that we all dress the part. We were happy to oblige.
Our table looked amazing!
After a few speakers, we enjoyed lunch. I ordered the chicken because it looked like the most food. :)
One of my friends had to leave early, so I split her shrimp dish with someone else. Can't let a good thing go to waste right?
Dessert was mango cheesecake.
Thank you Lisa for helping to put on an amazing event with such a great cause!
Are you normally the Thanksgiving cook or do you go to someone else's house?
