145.0…A Quick Trip
Tuesday night was Bunco night hosted by Tami. It was a Halloween theme and everyone wore black. There were a ton of delicious appetizers that greeted me when I walked in.
Dinner was outstanding.
I had a bit of everything:
Check out all the desserts too!
Such a fun night….thank you so much Tami!!
Breakfast Wednesday morning was pineapple Chobani yogurt, Almond Coconut Granola, raspberries and strawberries.
After taking the kids to school, I went to an appointment and then my husband and I headed to Santa Barbara for a quick work-related trip. We checked into our hotel, El Encanto, and got settled. Such a cute hotel!! Apparently it recently opened after being closed for seven years for renovations. I would definitely go back to El Encanto.
A lunch buffet was provided for our event. I enjoyed pulled pork sliders, seared ahi sandwiches and mixed greens:
The seared ahi sandwich was particularly good, I went back for another. I also had some asparagus soup with crab:
Dessert was an array of various treats: cheesecake, chocolate mousse and fruit tart.
After lunch, we walked around and shopped for a bit. Dinner that evening was held at the hotel with a cocktail reception to start. Dinner was served buffet style. I tried a bit of everything: short ribs, sea bass, chicken, veggies and mashed potatoes.
Dessert was served inside and it was too dark to take a decent photo.
There was a breakfast buffet yesterday morning. I had a bagel with cream cheese, lox, tomatoes, cucumber and red onion. I also has some scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage.
There were several activities to choose from and we decided on a catamaran ride. Lunch was provided on the boat. I had a turkey sandwich with roasted tomato aioli, chicken salad and a green salad. Everything was amazing!!
Dessert was delicious too:
One of the highlights of our trip were these adorable sea lions:
Yesterday evening we had another dinner to attend. It was outside and really dark and I felt silly using a flash to take photos so I didn't. We had butternut squash soup, mixed green salad with goat cheese toasts and filet mignon with halibut and potatoes. It was another excellent meal. We missed dessert because we had to get to the airport for our flight home. A quick trip!
Breakfast this morning was Honey Nut Cheerios with almond milk.
The kids don't have school today so there were no drop offs. I did go to Cardio Muscle class this morning though.
Lunch was a turkey sandwich, veggies and ranch.
Tonight my son has cotillion (ugh…he hates it) and I think we'll go out to dinner afterwards.
Happy Friday!
Any fun weekend plans?
