144.8…Giving Thanks
I knew the second I walked into Bunco at Silvana's house, I was in for a treat. She had a chef and staff there preparing all sorts of fabulousness. The first thing that caught my eye was the sirloin on baguette slices topped with caramelized onions, blue cheese and a drizzle of balsamic reduction.
I basically parked myself in front of these and went to town.
As if that was't enough, there were delicious crab cakes and a cheese platter as well!
Silvana's theme for Bunco was "Giving Thanks" and the food was all about fall comfort foods. I felt pretty comforted enjoying the butternut squash soup that was placed before me:
Dinner was equally comforting:
Chicken:
Mashed potatoes:
Green beans:
Fabulous.
Dessert screamed fall:
Mini pumpkin bundt cakes with cream cheese frosting:
Lemon Bundt Cake:
I give thanks to Silvana for spoiling us rotten last night!!!
I wish I could say breakfast and lunch were as exciting but I can't. English muffin with peanut butter and a grapefruit. The grapefruit came off my tree so I guess that's exciting!
I took the kids to school, went to an appointment, ran some errands then home for lunch:
The usual.
I have an event to attend at the school tonight, then it's straight to bed. Staying up last night wiped me out. :(
What are you thankful for?
