144.6...Fifty Shades of Eh
Wednesday night’s dinner making process was easy. I had defrosted some Three Bean and Beef Chili so I just heated it up and dinner was done.
Can’t beat that.
Yesterday’s breakfast was scrambled egg beaters with spinach, onion and jack cheese.
After I took the kids to school, I went to a Sculpt class at the gym. It was awesome. It was all weights and it was really challenging.
I got some groceries at Trader Joe’s afterwards including this Salad with BBQ Flavored Chicken:
I was skeptical but it was pretty good!!
Last night, we celebrated Cathi’s birthday with dinner and a movie. We met at her house for some drinks. She had a whole “movie spread” out.
Everyone dressed in grey. Why? To see Fifty Shades of Grey, of course!
Yes, there were a lot of us. We basically filled up the entire theater.
What did I think of the movie you ask?
Eh. I had low expectations going in and wasn’t disappointed. I still recommend seeing it though with twenty of your friends.
After the movie, we went to Davanti for dinner.
Our table shared some fabulous items. Focaccia di Recco + Honeycomb (Ligurian style baked focaccia + fresh soft cow cheese):
This is basically heaven on a plate.
Roasted Campari tomato + Burrata + Basil Pesto + Tuscan Toast:
Roasted Cauliflower + Sicilian Green Olive Tapenade + Piquillo Pepper + Preserved Lemon Vinaigrette + Crispy Ceci Beans:
Shaved Brussels Sprouts + Pecorino Romano + Olive Oil + Lemon:
Pizza con Prosciutto e Rucola (prosciutto de Parma, fresh mozzarella, fontina, arugula):
Happy Birthday Cathi! We love you!!
Breakfast this morning was the same as yesterday.
I took the kids to school and volunteered for a bit. That was followed by a dentist appointment and lunch at home. Chicken salad and mixed greens:
Tonight my husband and I are going to see a movie and have dinner. A double whammy!
Have you seen Fifty Shades? Thoughts?
