Brrrrrr.
Wednesday night we met some friends at Treo3 for dinner. It recently opened and I was excited to check it out. We all shared a couple of appetizers. Burrito Della Casa (textures of heirloom tomatoes, basil, balsamic):
Delicious. You can’t go wrong with burrata.
Brie and Garlic (roasted garlic and brie fondue with brioche toast):
This was one of the most fabulous things I’ve ever eaten. Garlic heaven.
My husband and I split the Chopped Market Salad:
For my entree, I ordered the Lamb:
Fabulous. Loved it.
Dessert was S’mores (smoked ice cream, graham cracker tuile, 66% chocolate ice cream, marshmallow ash, chocolate soil, bruleed meringue):
Awesome. I really enjoyed Treo3. The service was fantastic…I’d definitely go back!
Yesterday’s breakfast was vanilla Greek yogurt, granola and raspberries.
I took the kids to school, went to a PTO meeting, then home to finish packing for our ski trip to Mammoth. Let me fill you in: I don’t ski. I don’t do snow. I don’t do cold. But I come on the trip and smile and pretend to like it so hopefully my kids won’t turn out like me and loathe the cold.
We picked the kids up from school and headed to the airport to catch our flight to Mammoth. I bought a BLT to eat on the plane.
We were warned the ride to Mammoth could be bumpy. Everything was fine until the final 10-15 minutes of the flight where I saw my life flash before my eyes. Bumpy was an understatement. The barf bag almost came out, people.
We finally arrived and made it to the hotel. Dinner was at Gomez’s. I had a fish taco and a cheese enchilada.
The food was pretty good!
This morning we got up early and I went with everyone to the ski lodge to help get the kids set up with their gear. When they were settled, I headed back to the hotel and grabbed a latte and breakfast sandwich at Starbucks.
I’m now happy and warm inside. :)
Are you a skier? Can you explain to me why people seem to love it? :)
