Stuck in Salt Lake
I was supposed to be on my flight home to San Diego from Salt Lake City now but I’m not. The flight was oversold and we somehow got shorted two of our seats. The airlines was only able to find one person to give up their seat so I sent the husband and the kids on without me. Talk about taking one for the team! :) After some stress and struggle, I was able to find a flight out tonight through Las Vegas. Not too bad. So I’m sitting here in the Salt Lake City airport passing a few hours before my flight.
Valentine’s Day was spent cooking some red sauce (Spaghetti with Meat Sauce) for everyone for dinner.
Our Valentine meal also consisted of a Caesar salad:
I made garlic bread as well but didn’t have any. It was all about the spaghetti and salad for me.
Breakfast yesterday morning was toast with peanut butter.
I met the group for lunch at the ski lodge.
I had a tuna sandwich.
For dinner last night, I made My Favorite Guacamole to start:
Followed by legit Taco Bell homemade tacos using all this fabulousness that Marit and I found at the grocery store:
Really awesome. I had three.
Colby brought home ice cream & hot fudge from Java Cow. Yes please.
This morning I had Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal for breakfast.
We packed and left Park City for the airport. When we got here I had a Boar’s Head roast beef sandwich.
And now since I’m stuck in Salt Lake for another four (!!!) hours, I will find some way to enjoy myself….
Have you ever been bumped off a flight?
