Super Bowl XLIX
And just like that, our trip to the Super Bowl is over. It was definitely an experience that I'll never forget. Great times were had for sure!!!
Friday night after my son's basketball game, we went to Tio Leo's for dinner. I had the pollo asado tacos. They come in wheat tortillas with black beans and corn salad. Somehow I managed not to touch a single chip on the table.
Saturday morning's breakfast was Naked Vanilla Almond Granola with vanilla Greek yogurt and raspberries:
We headed to the airport for our flight to Phoenix. I had a turkey burger and sweet potato fries at The Counter at the airport for lunch.
We checked into our hotel and hung out for awhile before headed to dinner at Del Frisco's Grille to meet some friends.
We shared Ahi Tacos (tuna tartare, avocado, spicy citrus mayo) that were incredible:
The Lollipop Chicken Wings weren't bad either!
For my entree, I ordered the Ahi Tuna Steak (sesame-chive crust, chilled noodle salad, peanuts, ponzu sauce):
It was delicious! After dinner, we went back the hotel for the night.
Yesterday morning, I had some of the free breakfast down in the lobby. English muffin with peanut butter and sausage. The eggs were weird so I didn't eat them.
We headed towards the stadium, got parked and grabbed some lunch at Chipotle.
Chicken bowl with brown rice, black beans, salsa, lettuce, guacamole and hot sauce.
We walked towards the stadium and headed in.
Amazing.
The game started and it was exciting from beginning to end.
The Katy Perry half time show was great!! I didn't take many pictures but did get some great video that I'll have to post soon!
The game came down the wire at the end with a terrible call by the Seahawks. The Patriots won 28-24. The place went nuts.
After the game and the trophy ceremony, we headed back to hotel. It was a day that my son will definitely never forget!!
This morning we checked out of our hotel and headed to the airport. I had some pretty good fish tacos there!
Tonight I'm taking my son to basketball practice and my daughter to dinner. Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight!
Did you watch the Super Bowl? Did you like the half time show?

Curious...what does your husband do to where you travel all of the time? :-)
ReplyDeleteOh...and to answer your question....we had a small party at our house and made fish tacos, 7-layer dip, baked buffalo wings and a few other munchies. It was fun but it was nice to just climb right into bed as soon as the game was over. (we are 3 hours ahead of you here in Florida). Loved the half time show!!!
