143.4...All Work, No Gain
I recently found a recipe on Pinterest for Creamy Tomato Pasta and knew I had to try it. There were rave reviews for it but I had this feeling when I was making it, that it wasn’t going to be a hit. I followed the instructions exactly but could just tell that it was missing something. Maybe it was because I was using tomatoes in the winter? I don’t know….anyway, it was a lot of work and ended up being bland and boring. Oh and soupy. The sauce didn’t really thicken enough.
Pasta soup anyone? Oh well, you win some and you lose some.
Breakfast this morning was scrambled egg beaters, onions, spinach and jack cheese.
After I took my daughter to school (my son is still on the class trip), I went to a Cardio Strength class at the gym. The first half hour was pure cardio and the last was strength training. It was a great class! I’m really loving my new gym.
I ran some errands and stopped at Subway for lunch. Turkey avocado on wheat with all the veggies and lots of buffalo hot sauce:
Messy but good. :)
When was your last recipe fail?

That pasta doesn't look all that bad to me - maybe add some crushed red pepper to kick it up? I wonder if the sauce will thicken when its in the fridge?

ReplyDeleteI ended up adding tons of crushed red pepper and parmesan cheese. It did thicken up a bit after awhile.
