144.2...Twice is Nice

I went to see American Sniper with my husband on Friday night. We wanted to have dinner close to the theater so we decided to go to Davanti. It was so good on Thursday night so why not?

We split the Cacio e Pepe (spaghetti, pecorino, black pepper):

Pizza D.O.C. (tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil):

Roasted Campari Tomato, Burrata, Basil Pesto & Tuscan Toast):

Excellent. Just as good as the first night….maybe even better. :) 

American Sniper was excellent. I definitely left the theater feeling differently than I did after Fifty Shades of Grey! 

Breakfast yesterday morning was scrambled egg beaters with salsa, green onions and cheddar cheese. 

For lunch, everyone wanted spaghetti. I realized that I didn’t have any marinara in the house so I quickly threw together a batch with a can of crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, dried oregano, salt, pepper and Parmesan.

Later that evening, EIGHT of my daughter’s friends came over for a sleepover party. Yes….eight. That’s a lot of 8 year old girls in one house. We ordered pizza from Leucadia Pizza but I ordered a Greek salad with shrimp. 

The girls decorated cupcakes and played with my daughter’s karaoke machine. It was quite…loud. :)

This morning after everyone was picked up, I scrambled some egg beaters with spinach and jack cheese. 

It’s been raining all day so we’ve stayed inside. Lunch was tuna salad and celery sticks. 

Not sure what our plans are tonight but I’m thinking an early bedtime is in order!

If you had to go to a restaurant twice in two days, which one would it be?
