147.8...Mother's Day Weekend in Review
Happy belated Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! I have to say that I had a fabulous weekend celebrating with my family.
Friday night we went to our club for dinner and Bingo Night! I had the Petrale Sole which came piccata style with mashed potatoes and green beans.
Then it was time to play Bingo! We had so much fun and both kids ended up winning some prizes!
I enjoyed some delicious cookies while we played.
Saturday morning’s breakfast was my current fav:
We loaded the car, went to my son’s basketball game, then hit the road for Palm Desert to be with my mom, brother, sister in law and nephew for Mother’s Day. We stopped at Taco Bell for lunch. Fiesta taco salad (minus the shell):
We arrived finally and enjoyed some wine while my brother did some grilling for dinner.
He did manage to take some time away to take a selfie with us.
Dinner was tri-tip, chicken, corn and salad.
For dessert, I had a chocolate chip cookie and some birthday cake (we were celebrating my mom’s birthday too!).
We checked into our hotel and went to bed. Mother’s Day breakfast yesterday was room service. Two eggs over easy, bacon, potatoes and asparagus.
We went back to my mom’s for the day. Lunch was at Fresh Agave. I shared the Taco Fiesta with my brother and sister in law. I made a couple carne asada tacos and a carnitas taco. I also did work on their amazing spicy guacamole!
Happy Mother’s Day to my mom and sister in law!
We had so much fun. Eventually it was time to head back to San Diego.
My family took me to Ruth’s Chris for dinner. My meal started with my favorite wedge salad.
I had a filet and creamed spinach for my entree. Perfection!
After my meal last night, I didn’t want anything heavy for breakfast. Honey Nut Cheerios and almond milk fit the bill.
After I took the kids to school, I went to spin class then ran a bunch of errands. Lunch was a turkey and avocado sandwich at Subway.
I’m cooking up a new recipe for dinner tonight. I better get cracking.
Did you have any special Mother’s Day eats?
