146.2...The 3AM Wakeup Call
My husband and I got a chance to go to a food tasting Tuesday night for the San Diego Chargers new food and beverage provider. I tried a few things…..tasty!!!
Later on, we went out to dinner at Chef Chin. We shared Vegetable Lo Mein and Kung Pao Chicken.
I really liked everything and would definitely go back. I appreciated that they asked us what level of spice, from 1 to 5, that we would like for the Kung Pao Chicken. My husband said 5. I was nervous but it wasn’t too spicy.
Breakfast yesterday:
I took my son to camp, then went to the gym. My daughter and I ran errands, stopping at Island’s for lunch. I tried their veggie tacos which were really good!
Before I picked up my son from camp, I stopped at Starbucks for a much needed iced skinny vanilla latte.
We went to my son’s basketball game, then to Alicia’s for dinner. I brought salad and wine and she picked up Napizza.
I enjoyed our standard Bolognese pizza as well as the pizza of the day which was one where they cooked bacon in the sauce for a long time. Outstanding. My new favorite there.
Breakfast today:
I took my son to camp then went to the mall with my daughter. We had lunch at Red Robin. I tried their Ensenada Chicken Platter basically because it was lower in calories. It turned out to be a pretty good lunch….I was skeptical.
So….last night at 3AM our smoke alarms went off. For no reason. This happened last week as well! I replace the batteries every year. I’m about to loose my mind with these things! After some research, it seems the model smoke detector we have is older and this happens a lot with them. I have immediately placed an order for 9 of the newer models. Wish me luck. Ugh.
Does this false smoke alarm thing ever happen to you? Why is it always in the middle of the night!?!
