145.8...A Wednesday Wedding
My husband brought home Chipotle for dinner Tuesday night. I had a chicken bowl with black beans, pico de gallo, lettuce, guacamole and lots of hot sauce.
We went to my son’s 8:00PM flag football game. Really late for a 10 year old’s game but we didn’t have school the next day so it all balances out.
Breakfast yesterday:
My daughter and I got our nails done. Lunch was a turkey sandwich, veggies and ranch dressing at home.
Last night my husband and I went to our friends, Jason and Irene’s wedding in Newport Beach. After the ceremony, we went to Cucina Enoteca for the reception.
The outdoor patio was decorated so beautifully!
We enjoyed some delicious appetizers during the cocktail hour.
The meatballs were my personal favorite.
Dinner was served family style. Stuffed Fried Squash Blossoms (herb ricotta, opal basil pesto, lemon aioli):
Chopped Salad (escarole, radicchio, casalingo salumi, cacciocavalo, pickled shishito, parmesan crouton, castelvetrano, garlic oregano vinaigrette):
Pancetta & Brussels Sprouts Leaf Pizza (fontina, red onion, garlic, Calabrian chili):
Margherita Pizza (San Marzano tomato, house made mozzarella, basil):
Shrimp Spaghettini Puttanesca (tomato, gaeta olive, caper, Calabrian chili):
Short Rib Pappardelle (cremini mushroom, carrot, parmigiano):
All were fabulous!! I really enjoyed the food. Let’s not forget about dessert though!
Red Velvet Cake with Coconut Gelato:
After we devoured our cake, we drove back to San Diego. Fun Wednesday Wedding to break up the week!
Breakfast this morning:
After I took the kids to school I went to Sculpt class at the gym. We had a sub today who really kicked our butts. I guess I needed it after last night’s meal.
I went to a meeting at the school, then to Urban Plates for lunch.
Oven Baked Salmon, Brussels Sprouts and Tomato Basil Soup.
Now I’m sipping hot tea at Starbucks waiting to pick the kids up from school. Tonight is Bunco at Lisa’s house. It’s been a late night every night this week for me. I’m ready to sleep in on Saturday for sure!
What day of the week did you get married? Saturday night for me!
