146.8...Firsts
Wednesday night my son and I went to his all-time favorite restaurant for dinner: PF Chang’s. I think he’d eat here everyday if he could.
We shared lettuce wraps:
I had the Ginger Chicken with Broccoli (sauce on the side) and brown rice:
Thursday’s breakfast:
Thursday was a day of firsts for me. Alicia, Dina and I tried Orange Theory for the first time. Verdict: I really liked it! It was such an efficient workout. It was definitely organized chaos in there but it helped make the time go faster for sure. We all signed up!
I came home and had a snack of toast with peanut butter.
Normally I would have just eaten lunch, but I was off to my second “first”: a tennis lesson! I met a friend at our club and actually held a tennis racket which I haven’t done since I was 12 probably. I wasn’t as bad as I thought I’d be but I’m sure I looked ridiculous. Lol. I’m going back for some more torture next week.
Lunch was a salami sandwich, veggies and ranch dressing.
Thursday night a bunch of us went to The Pony Room at Rancho Valencia.
We shared the Jalapeño Hamachi Crudo (house ponzu, spicy togarashi):
Classic Ceviche (white fish, tomato, cilantro, lime, onion, jalapeño, corn tortillas):
I ordered Brandt Steak Frites (flat iron steak, chimichurri, watercress salad, truffle fries):
Everything was OUTSTANDING. Loved everything!
Yesterday’s breakfast:
I went to Zumba class at the gym.
I took my son to our club for lunch. I had a delicious Cobb salad.
I spent the day doing laundry, picking up around the house and cleaning out my inbox. It is now empty. It is a miracle.
Dinner was at Firenze. I had the Polpette di Pollo (handmade chicken meatballs, baked, served with marinara sauce over spaghetti):
I’ve ordered this before. It’s so good. The meatballs are ridiculously huge so I brought two of them home and froze them.
Today’s breakfast:
Today has been pretty chill. Lunch was a salami sandwich, veggies and ranch.
We are off to the Padres game tonight. Happy 4th of July weekend!
What have you done lately that’s a first for you?
