141.6...Lady Luck
What a fun weekend! We went to Atlanta for the Chargers vs. Falcons game and it was a blast! We left on Friday morning. I had my usual breakfast:
Later on on the way to the airport, I had a That’s It Bar. 1 apple and 1 pear are the ingredients. Nothing else. It’s pretty good and only 100 calories.
Before getting on the plane, I had a turkey sub.
We arrived in Atlanta and checked into the Westin Buckhead. We were with a group so we met most of them at the hotel bar for a few drinks before calling it a night.
Saturday morning I had some coffee in the room and a Kind bar.
I went to the hotel gym for some weights and cardio then got dressed at headed next door to the Lenox mall for lunch and some shopping. My husband was golfing with the group so I had the day all to myself.
I stopped at True Food Kitchen for lunch. I ordered the Mediterranean Quinoa Salad with Shrimp (Persian cucumber, peppadew, cherry tomato, pole bean, feta, almond, oregano vinaigrette):
Great salad!
I spent the rest of the day shopping. It was glorious!
Eventually, I walked back to the hotel and got ready for dinner. The whole group went out to The Capital Grille.
For my appetizer, I ordered the Steak Tartare:
It was delicious!
For my entree, I ordered Sushi-Grade Sesame Seared Tuna with Gingered Rice:
It quite possibly was the biggest piece of tuna I’ve ever seen. I almost ate the whole thing. :) Yum!
Dessert might have been the best part.
My husband and I shared The Capital Grille Cheesecake (Brûlée style with fresh berries). It was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Why have I never thought to brûlée cheesecake!?!
Sunday morning we went to breakfast at Seasons 52 with my brother in law and his family (who live near Atlanta). I ordered the Vegetable Frittata (pasture-raised eggs, aged cheddar, roasted red peppers & potatoes, mushrooms, accompanied by grilled asparagus and Sriracha hollandaise):
Very good! It was a short but sweet visit with family but right after breakfast it was time to head back to the hotel to meet our group. We headed to the Georgia Dome for the game!
We were able to go onto the field before the game which was exciting!
I actually got to continue my stint on the field for the rest of the game helping out with the media for the Chargers!
Being on the field for the whole game was really exciting!
That’s me in my lovely green vest!
The game came down to the wire in overtime with the Chargers winning it by 33-30. Everyone ran onto the field including me. Not sure if I was supposed to but I just went!
A little selfie with Antonio Gates in the background. Lol.
What an experience! Crazy!!!
We left and headed to the airport for our flight home. I ate a chicken caesar salad on the plane:
We got home super late last night. The kids don’t have school today which was a blessing for sure!
Breakfast:
I went to the gym and came home to get dressed.
Lunch was Subway. Turkey and avocado sandwich:
Making an easy dinner tonight and heading to bed early for sure!
Did your team(s) win yesterday?
