145.2...Epic Adventures
I have had a whirlwind of the last few days, to say the least. The fun started Wednesday night at Petco Park. My husband got to throw out the first pitch and I got to ring the Ceremonial Bell to start the game.
It was an exciting night for sure!!!
For dinner I had some pretty darn tasty shrimp tacos!
Breakfast Thursday:
I took the kids to school, then went to the gym for an hour, followed by a tennis lesson.
I ran some errands and stopped at Green Spot Salad Company for lunch. I ordered my favorite Sesame Ginger Ahi Bowl.
I ran more errands, then picked the kids up from school. We went to Joe and Alicia’s for dinner. We picked up Phil’s BBQ. I had the barbecued chicken, corn and cole slaw. Delicious!
Friday’s breakfast:
I had lunch with Alicia at Tabu Sushi.
Miso soup:
Tuna, yellowtail, salmon sushi:
Lemon Cilantro Roll and Rudy Roll:
Loved every bite!
After lunch I headed to my husband’s office for his company trip to Las Vegas!!
We definitely got to roll in style!!
We arrived at The Wynn Hotel and checked it. We did a bit of gambling before heading to dinner at Tao. We had a couple of appetizers to start: Spicy Tuna Tartar on Crispy Rice and Pan Fried Chicken Gyoza. Both were fabulous!!!!
Our entire meal was served family style.
Buddha’s Harmonized Vegetable Feast:
Pad Thai Noodles:
Mandarin Sizzled Fried Rice with Roast Pork:
Filet Mignon Pepper Steak:
Orange Chicken:
Every dish was amazing. I loved it! Great dinner!
After dinner we did some more gambling and then called it a night.
Saturday it was time for everyone to head to the Wet Republic Pool at MGM for a day of fun in the sun!
For lunch I had a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad:
I can’t say it was the best but it was better than eating all the other fried stuff.
Later on we came back to the hotel to chill before dinner.
We went to Cut for dinner. I shared the Prime Sirloin Steak Tartare (herb aioli, mustard) with a friend:
It was epic.
For dinner, I had the Petit Filet Mignon:
We shared a couple of sides as well: Cavatappi Pasta "Mac & Cheese” (Quebec cheddar) as well as Hand Cut French Fries with Herbs. Everything was delicious. Great restaurant!
After dinner we called it quits. Lol. Too old to stay out late two nights in a row.
Sunday we ordered room service for breakfast. I had an egg white omelet with spinach, onions and cheese. I had slid tomatoes instead of the potatoes. And lots of coffee. :)
We packed up and headed back to San Diego. Then we hopped on a bus that took us to the Chargers game. It was a great game until we lost. Again. Ugh.
I had some small snacks at the game and was not in the mood for dinner last night. It was early to bed for all of us!
Breakfast this morning:
The kids don’t have school today so there was no usual morning rush. I did make it to Orange Theory for a much deserved butt kicking workout.
Lunch was a turkey sandwich, pepper and ranch dressing.
I already have dinner in the slow cooker and am looking forward to a quiet night at home!
Eat anything fabulous over the weekend?
