146.0...Lots of Burgers and Ball Games
We went to dinner at Firenze Trattoria on Thursday night. My husband and I spit the Bruschetta (grilled ciabatta bread brushed with pesto and topped with diced roma tomato, basil, garlic and extra virgin olive oil):
As well as the Chicken Caesar Salad:
Friday’s breakfast:
The kids didn’t have school so we met my husband for lunch at the UTC mall’s food court. I choose to try Bibigo which is a Korean eatery.
I tried the Bulgogi Beef Bowl with crispy brown rice, veggies, hot sauce and an egg. The egg was a bit undercooked for my liking but other than that, I really enjoyed it! Definitely a great option for the food court which I normally steer clear of.
For dinner my husband and I met some friends at Market Del Mar. My appetizer was the Hamachi Tartare & Sesame Nori Crackers (shaved radish-mango salad, yuzu aioli, wasabi tobiko, ginger vinaigrette, chili oil):
I totally missed the part on the menu that said “mango” which I don’t want anywhere near my food. Lol. I ate the hamachi and that was it. I get so excited when I see hamachi on the menu that I don’t see anything else!
My entree was the Seared Yellowfin Tuna & Stir-Fried Soba Noodles (spiced soy broth, hon shimeji mushrooms saute, yu choy, daikon radish, shaved scallions):
This was really good.
We ordered a couple different desserts to share.
S’mores Bar (espresso-bailey’s ice cream, swiss meringue, graham tuile bittersweet chocolate mousse cake, cocoa nibs) and
Chocolate-Butterscotch Tasting (warm chocolate souffle, butterscotch custard, malted chocolate ice cream, pretzel crunch):
Both were good but the butterscotch custard was beyond amazing!
Saturday’s breakfast:
We all hopped in the car and headed to my brother’s house in Los Angeles to celebrate my niece’s first birthday. We had Benny’s Taco’s for lunch. We ordered a bunch of rotisserie chicken and sides and made tacos.
Then it was off to the LA Coliseum for the USC vs. Utah football game!
We got to be on the field for awhile which was really special.
Other team’s mascot but oh well! ;)
It was a close game but we ended up with the victory and that’s all that matters!
It was late when we left to drive home so we ended up getting In N Out burger. Perfect end to a great day!
Yesterday’s breakfast was a waffle with peanut butter. It’s really all I had the energy for.
We had some friends come over for a barbecue. I made some of my favorites.
Burger Sauce on the burgers, Creamy Cole Slaw and corn on the cob.
Dessert was cookies that my daughter made!
Our friends brought their dog over to play with my dogs.
I cannot handle the cuteness.
We ate later in the afternoon so it did double-duty as dinner too!
Breakfast this morning:
I dropped the kids off at school and went to Orange Theory. Good start to the week!
