146.6...Pasta Perfection
My husband was in Los Angeles Saturday night so I took the kids to Firenze. It might be the only restaurant they both agree on at this point. Good thing I like it too! I had the Chopped Caesar with Salmon:
We came home, watched the USC game and went to bed.
For breakfast Sunday, I used some of the leftover salami from my Milton’s sandwich on Saturday (they give you enough meat for at least two sandwiches!) to throw in with some scrambled eggs:
I spent the day doing projects around the house. Lunch was the last of the salami leftovers made into a sandwich:
For dinner, we went to Piacere Mio, a new Italian restaurant near us. I had been once before but my husband had not. We shared the Caprese Piacere Mio (fresh burrata cheese with heirloom tomatoes and basil):
Really delicious!! They give you a good side ball of burrata. Even my daughter said: “That’s a lot of cheese!"
I ordered the Pappardelle Wild Boar (large flat pasta noodles tossed with slowly cooked wild boar ragu):
Epicly fabulous. I mean, I’m not sure if I can order anything else there from now on. So rich, delicious and comforting! It was a large portion too so I took some home with me for later. :)
Today’s breakfast:
I took the kids to school, then went to the gym for a quick run before an appointment.
Lunch was with a couple friends at Flower Child. I had the Skinny Cobb with Chicken (romaine, arugula, red cabbage, avocado, tomato, cucumber, crunchy corn, pickled onion, smoked almonds, gorgonzola vinaigrette):
Really good salad although a bit small for my liking. Maybe I need to train myself to eat less food? ;)
